Southwest
Southwest Calgary is bordered in the North by the Bow River, in the East by Macleod Trail, and runs South to the edge of rural De Winton. Within this space, Calgary’s South West offers a great diversity of desirable communities, condo developments, recreational amenities, schools and more.
To the West, the communities of Aspen Woods, Signal Hill, Cougar Ridge, and Strathcona offer suburban living with a variety of entry points for family homes, duplexes, and luxury real estate. Nearby shopping, schools, and recreation are made readily available with Aspen Landing, Westills, Westside Rec Center, Winsport and several public and private schools all reside within close proximity.
Towards the City Center you will find the more mature communities of Wildwood, Glendale/Glenbrook/Glamorgan, Killarney and Rosscarrock, each of which provides true Calgary charm, a quick commute downtown, affordable homes, and ample development opportunities.
Calgary’s Southwest Inner City is home to some of the most desirable addresses in the city. From up-and-coming areas like Altadore and North Glenmore, to the established neighbourhoods of Mount Royal, Elbow Park, Britannia, Bel-Aire and more, the Southwest Inner City is desirable and familiar to all. Here you will find some of Calgary’s oldest standing homes, as well as the heights of new luxury, trendy infills and duplexes, and beautifully maintained hidden gems. The Southwest Innercity is minutes to 17th Avenue, 4th Street and the Downtown Core, providing residents with access to the best the city has to offer.
Stretching South, the Glenmore Reservoir offers an expansive network of pathways and incredible scenery with close proximity to the established suburbs of Oakridge, Canyon Meadows, Braeside, and Woodbine among others. Watch for the new Stoney Trail to connect this area to the West side of Calgary very soon!
